Trimming
Melbourne Accomplished Trimmers
Shrubs, roses, grasses, groundcovers, the plants that make up most of a garden but don't fit neatly into a mow or a hedge trim. We cut each one the way it actually needs to be cut.

What we trim
One service, a lot of different plants
Trimming covers more ground than any other service we offer, so here's what's actually included.
Shrubs & bushes
Roses
Ornamental grasses
Groundcovers
Climbers & vines
Flowering perennials
What's included
Cut to suit the plant, not a blanket trim over the top
Shaped to size, not just shorter
Kept in proportion with the bed and the plants around it, not cut back at random.
Spent flowers removed
Deadheaded where it helps the plant flower again, roses and perennials especially.
Cuttings cleared
Off the lawn and beds before we leave, not left in a pile for you to deal with.
Timed to the plant, not the calendar
Spring flowering shrubs and roses get cut at different points in the year, we know which is which.
Worth knowing
What happens if the shrubs just keep growing?
Shrubs get leggy, crowd the path, and start hiding whatever is planted behind them. It is a slow slide rather than a sudden mess, the kind of thing you do not notice until one day the garden looks a lot smaller than it is. Left for a season or two, what would have been a light trim turns into cutting the plant back hard just to get it looking right again.

The detail
A clean cut heals, a torn one doesn't
Sharp tools and the right angle on every stem, so the plant recovers fast instead of dying back from a ragged cut.

FAQ
Questions we actually get asked
Hedging is a formal, level line across a hedge. Pruning is tree work, usually up a ladder or in the canopy. Trimming covers everything else, shrubs, roses, grasses, groundcovers and climbers, cut to suit each plant rather than a straight line.
Yes, spent flowers are removed as part of a standard trim where it helps the plant keep flowering.
Done at the wrong time of year, yes, some shrubs lose their next season's flowers if cut back too hard too late. We time each plant to when it actually needs it.
Yes, cleared from the lawn and beds before we leave.
Both. Plenty of people start with a one-off tidy up and move to a regular round once they see how it holds.
