Lawn Mowing
Melbourne Professional Lawn Care
Regular mowing or a one off catch up cut, with the edges done properly and the clippings taken care of, not just the middle of the lawn.

What's included
Every mow, the same way
Cut at the right height
Blade height set for the season and the grass type, not scalped short and not left shaggy.
Edges cut clean
Along paths, driveways and garden beds, not just the open middle of the lawn.
Whipper snipped
Around trees, fences and anything the mower physically cannot reach.
Clippings sorted
Blown clear of paths and driveways, or bagged and taken away if you would rather not mulch them back in.
How often
Weekly in summer, barely at all in winter
Melbourne lawns do not grow at a constant rate, so we do not mow to a fixed calendar. Roughly what to expect:
Spring
Weekly
Fastest growth of the year.
Summer
Weekly to fortnightly
Depends on rain and heat.
Autumn
Fortnightly
Growth starts slowing down.
Winter
Monthly, or on call
Most lawns barely grow at all.
If the lawn has gotten away from you completely, we will usually take it down over two visits a week or so apart rather than scalping it in one go. Cutting an overgrown lawn too short in a single pass stresses the grass and can kill it off in patches.
Worth knowing
What if I delay my mow?
A lawn left a few weeks just gets longer, a bit patchy where it has grown unevenly, and slower to bring back into shape. It is not going to ruin your yard, it just starts looking like nobody is around to look after it. By the time it gets mowed again, the clippings are heavier, the edges have crept over the path, and what would have been a quick trim turns into a proper cut.

The finish
You will notice the stripes before anything else
A clean, even cut with consistent lines end to end, not just grass that is shorter than it was.

FAQ
Questions we actually get asked
Yes, if you would rather have them gone. Otherwise we can mulch them back into the lawn as a natural fertiliser, your call when you book.

No, as long as we can get to the lawn, through a side gate for example, you do not need to be there for the mow itself.
Yes, edging and whipper snipping around beds, trees and fence lines is included in every mow, not charged as an extra.
Both. Plenty of people start with a one off catch up cut and decide from there whether they want us back on a regular round.
